Kumily is a town in the Cardamom Hills near Thekkady and the Periyar tiger Reserve, in the Idukki District of Kerala State in South India. It is a major tourist destination and a spices trading center. With nearby Periyar Tiger Reserve and Thekkady lake, Kumily also has attracted tourist traffic.

Kumily is a busy town through out the year. May it be Sabarimala devotees(oct to Jan) or Tourists (Feb to Sep) or Workers from TN(any time) Kumily welcomes & attracts everyone with its charm and warmth. The nearest Airport is Madurai (125 km) and Railway Station is Kottayam (105 km). The famous pilgrim Centre Sabarimala is 25km from Kumily and to Kochi airport (150 km). The people from Tamilnadu reaches Kumily to reach Vandanmedu, the famous Cardamom city (famous for Cardamom auction) and the areas like Chakkupalam, Anakkara, Sulthankada, Chittampara which are famous for the lushy & rich Cardamom Plantations.

The total area of the property is 100 Acres. About 50 acres of the property are fuctional with a resort and suitable for adventure tours like trekking, rope climbing, diving etc. The main features of the property are:-

	• 2 cottages (Independent), which are occupied 200 days in an year and charge rupees 5000/- per day for a room

	• A building with a hall and 12 rooms which charge rupees 3000/- per day for a room

	• The property which includes 6 Dams, of which 3 big Dams are suitable for pedal boating and are used for irrigation purpose also. The other 3 Dams are of medium size, suitable for fishing and deep diving.

	• The property includes cardamom yield which fetches about 30-40 ton, which rates Rs 1000/- per Kg and also received an award from Spices Board in the year 1996. There are electric curing for cardamom and manual house too. Go down facility are also provided.

	• About 10 acres of registered coffee plantation which yields around 4 tons rating Rs 120/- per kg.

	• 11 KV line:- 4 Motor – 50 Horse power 2 Motor – 25 Horse power

	• Three transformer and a generator (250KV)

	• Pump house for irrigation Connection and sprinkler with 4 aluminum pipe

	• There are solar water heater for room and kitchen

	• Solar fencing ( nearly 2 kms) are constructed to prevent from wild animals

	• Erection survey has completed fir ropeway by a Mumbai based company

	• Tar roads to entire property

	• At present there are 8 permanent employees are hired on contract basis. There are labour cottages, servant cottage and driver cottage.

	• Production of packaged drinking water from springs are also functioning well

	• Facilities for research students and foreigners are provided

	• Additionally, 6 cottages are under construction

A new project of 100 crores is being proposed with a 5 star grade. This particular project is in Peerumedu Taluk (Kumily), the other side is Thekkady. An eco friendly construction is planned. The present land cost is 70 crores. For this project construction the Company is planning to seek loan of 80 crores from Bank. The Main features of the proposed project are
